For Immediate Release JOB BUS CANADA ACQUIRES CANADAJOBS.COM
OTTAWA (April 26, 1999) - Job Bus Canada (http://www.JobBus.com/), an online employment
site, announced today that it has acquired the Canadian employment site canadajobs.com.
"We're excited with the acquisition. It's great news for the users of both Web
sites," said Site Manager Luc Theriault, who arranged the purchase.
Both sites list Canadian employers who offer job postings online. The sites will both
continue to operate.
The Job Bus Canada site is updated on a daily basis, and its content grows regularly.
Features on the site include categorized lists of employers and job resources. The site
also includes articles, a newsletter, and an online poll with job-related questions.
"We look forward to providing our service to an even wider audience, and we welcome
users of canadajobs.com to The Bus," said Job Bus Canada Administrator, Sara Parent.
"Canadajobs.com started in Ottawa two years ago. It has since become a popular stop
for Canadian job hunters, with several thousand visitors a day," said Margaret
Collins, the former administrator of canadajobs.com.
With the increasing number of Canadians looking for work online these days, The Job Bus
Canada aims to be a one stop source for landing that perfect job.
